Soon after Bella arrived at Kingwood High School, she took over the number one spot and has yet to relinquish it. She won the individual district championship in 2021 and 2022 and led the team to the district title and this year to a 1st place finish at the regional tournament, which qualified the team for its fifth consecutive state tournament.

Bella is incredibly gifted but it is her hard work and relentless pursuit of excellence that sets her apart from most. She works tirelessly on her game and, in doing so, sets an impeccable example for her teammates. They feed off her desire to excel.

While Bella is an elite golfer, she is also a grounded individual. She does not flaunt her successes but rather encourages others to achieve to the best of their abilities. Players throughout our program like and respect Bella because she is “one of them”. She shares in her teammate’s struggles and achievements and is always there to lend advice or consolation or share in a celebration.

Bella exemplifies what it means to be a true teammate.

Golf is an incredibly difficult game. Excelling on the course on a consistent basis is even more difficult. The individual that is able to achieve continual success on the course while exhibiting humility is rare but that is Bella.

I have now coached Bella for 1 and a half years and she has grown into a mature golfer before me. As her coach, Bella has entrusted me with the development of her golf game and with hard work; effort from both sides we have managed to develop this young lady into a wonderful golfer.

From the game that has given her so much joy and outlet for her competitive nature; she has acquired skills that allow her to excel through academics as well as becoming a contributor to society. Some of the skills she has acquired are Honesty, Integrity, Resourcefulness, Compassion, Grit, Perseverance, and Discipline.
